About Me
I was born and raised in Carpinteria and have lived here my entire life.
To start my career I went to SBCC and studied Automotive Technology and Construction. While in school to support myself I worked for a local general contractor building and installing fine cabinetry. After graduating with my certificate in Automotive Technology, I went to work full time at an independent auto repair shop for 5+ years. During this time I proudly became a Certified Automotive Master Mechanic through ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) program.
I decided I wanted to learn AC systems, so I moved on in life and begin working for an electrical contractor doing commercial and residential electrical. Not only was I working as an electrician but I became a programmer for the residential smart home lighting systems. I worked in the designing process as well as doing the in field installations. During this time I obtained enough hours to to become a qualified journeyman, and am currently working towards obtaining an Electrician Contractors License.
I have discovered I enjoy working with DC electrical more than AC electrical however, I still work on both systems. As of now, I have been part of quite a few boat electrical projects here in Santa Barbara. I am currently a Certified ABYC Marine Electrical Technician and NMEA Basic Marine Electronics Installer. I’ve studied and received hands on training with Victron Energy power management systems and have obtained a Marine Electrical Systems Diploma through American Digital University.
Throughout my life, I have always had a passion with working around electrical circuits. I get satisfaction out of troubleshooting the unknown as well as designing and wiring new electrical circuits. Please give me a call and let me know how I can be of service to you.
A few of the many books that I’ve read and enjoyed that I’d recommend to others
- Boatowners Mechanical and Electrical Manual – Nigel Calder
- Electrical Manual and Advanced Marine Electronics Troubleshooting – Edwin Sherman
